Foiled Easter Eggs
This tutorial is made in PI 12 but can also be made with XL,10 and 11.
Skill level: Beginner
No outside filters are used.
Save these bump patterns or use your own. These are from Dover Publications.

Draw an 2D ellipse ca 235x310 pixels, duplicate and drag this to new canvas.
Back to the first one Edit/Fill/Gradient #C58D65 and # 6A3930 with these settings.
You can do the foil in two ways.
Method 1
Work on the second ellipse, change it to 3D, fill with silver 2 from the Easy Palette, (border2/30 in XL) (width 2/30 in PI 10,11,12).
Open the Material box, click on bump and navigate to where you saved the patterns, OK.
Duplicate your foil, go to Effect/Fills and Textures/Texture filter and click on the third pic (animal hide).
Properties/transparency to 55%, merge the both foils. This is now a silverfoiled egg but you can also drag the foil on your chocolate egg, erase some from the top to show the chocolate........don't eat it yet.LOL.
Method 2
Work on the chocolate egg, draw the foil with the spline tool directly on the egg, then proceed with the bump and texture like on the first one.

Clic on the erased foil, object/shadow with these settings. Right click/split shadow and erase all shadow around the egg, leaving shadow only on the chocolate.
Now you can take a bite.
Hope you enjoyed the tut.
